Central Park Jakarta

Central Park in Jakarta, Indonesia, is a large multi-use development that includes a hotel, shopping mall, office tower, and three residential apartment buildings. Covering approximately 655,000 square meters, it is situated in the Grogol Petamburan district of West Jakarta and was developed by the Agung Podomoro Group as part of the larger Podomoro City complex. It is currently the sixth-largest shopping mall in Indonesia.

Info

The complex was officially inaugurated on September 9, 2009, as part of the Integrated Mega Projects of Podomoro City. Designed by Singaporean firm DP Architects, with interior work by American company DYXY and landscaping by American Bennit Design Group, the main contractor for the project was Total Bangun Persada. Its name was inspired by New York City’s Central Park, and the development is strategically located between Mall Taman Anggrek and Mall Ciputra.

Central Park features an extension called Neo Soho, a shopping destination developed by Agung Podomoro Land. Neo Soho introduces an eight-story “store within a store” retail concept and is connected to Central Park via the Eco Sky Walk, an elevated pedestrian bridge. The mall also boasts a musical fountain that holds daily performances, as well as Tribeca Park, a spacious outdoor green area surrounded by retail and dining establishments.

The shopping mall is home to several prominent anchor tenants, including the largest SOGO department store in Indonesia, Transmart, Gramedia, Don Don Donki, Zara, Topman, Marks & Spencer, Hugo Boss, and Bershka, among others. Additionally, the Jakarta Aquarium & Safari, one of the city’s largest indoor aquariums, is located within the mall, offering an interactive and educational experience for visitors.
