The Londoner Macao
The Londoner Macao is a casino and resort situated on the Cotai Strip in Macau. Originally announced as Sands Cotai Central by Sands China in 2011, the $4 billion development opened its first phase on April 11, 2012. In 2021, the resort underwent a rebranding to become The Londoner Macao, with a redesign that was fully completed in May 2023.

The development was led by architecture firm Aedas, with Hsin Chong Construction Group Limited as the main contractor. Initially, hotel partnerships were announced with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, but later agreements were made with Hilton Worldwide and InterContinental Hotels, leading to the introduction of Conrad Hotels and Holiday Inn brands within the resort. The Londoner Macao now features over 6,000 rooms and suites, two casinos, more than 300,000 square feet of meeting space, and an extensive selection of dining and entertainment venues.
The project faced challenges, including labor shortages due to government restrictions on foreign workers and a cap on gaming tables imposed by local authorities until 2013. Despite these hurdles, the resort successfully launched as one of the largest integrated resorts in Macau, further solidifying the Cotai Strip’s reputation as a global entertainment hub.
